Weather permitting, BPC hosts Open Play at city venues such as Cornwall Park, Whatcom Community College and Cordata Park. A schedule of play will be posted here during the outdoor open play season.
Open Play sessions are open to all levels with no RSVP required.
Players stack their paddles in a designated area to indicate their order to play. Players rotate off courts after each game.
BPC-sponsored outdoor events are canceled if it is raining or the courts are wet.
Recreational Pickleball Etiquette
- After every game, rotate off the court so that waiting players have an opportunity to play.
- Be courteous and respectful.
- Refrain from offering uninvited coaching.
- Before crossing a court in play, wait for the rally to end and get the attention of players.
- Loudly call “Ball on” to alert the players if a ball enters your court, or a neighboring court.
- Reviewing the “BPC Skill-Level Self-Assessment Rating Scale” to help you identify your current level.
- A BPC court host may be available at Cornwall Memorial Park to answer questions.
